DJ Gala Dinner

An occasion for gathering, thanksgiving and talent showcase, the Diamond Jubilee Gala Dinner was held on 21st January, 2018 (Sunday) at the Grand Hall of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The Vicar General of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, Br. Jorge Gallardo de Alba, FSC, travelled all the way from Rome and was the Guest of Honour of the Gala Dinner. Former Principals, Vice-Principals, teachers, old boys, current staff, parents and students also joined us at the once-in-a-lifetime event.
The dinner started with the spectacular performance of the Chinese Orchestra. After the first dinner break, representatives of all 15 sports school team performed a dance medley.
In recognition of major donors' contribution to the Diamond Jubilee Fundraising Campaign, Br. Jorge presented a school song music box to each of them on behalf of the School. Then, Br. Patrick presented the Long Service Award to staff who has served for more than 20 years. It was followed by a band performance led by old boys Mr. Joe Wong and Mr. Philip Chan, and a Chit-chat session with our old boys Mr. John Tsang, Mr. Frank Chan and Mr. Philip Chan.
During the second half of the dinner, there were magic shows performed by Mr. John Fung and Mr. Edsel Chiu, and singing performance by Mr. Eric Suen. We also enjoyed a heated bidding & auction session hosted by Mr. Charles Chan. Last but not least, our Principal, Mrs. Rakesh, joined the Chinese Orchestra, Orchestra and Choir to perform the song "One La Salle". The dinner closed with all guests singing the school song together.
